Raised by a cold stepmother, Lacey Taylor’s life was turned upside down by the stroke of a pen, putting her on a path to find her birth mother, Cora Maguire. But Cora is not the maternal type. For her, her career is paramount to everything else, including her only child, Lacey. Their relationship is, at best, strained. Lacey struggles for Cora’s affection, but when her life-path takes an unplanned twist, Cora becomes furious. Lacey’s half-siblings, the Taylors, want to help, but they have their own demons that threaten to rip the family apart.

How often can Lacey deal with life’s struggles without finally succumbing to them?

About the Author

Mary T Bradford is an Irish author who has been writing for many years. But it was not until her four children were raised that she took her writing career seriously. She is now a proud Nana to her grandsons, Liam and Eoghan.

Family are important to her and so are her friends. This is evident in Mary’s writing, be it a flash fiction, short story or novel.

The trust and sharing in all relationships are what sustains any kind of link to others. She likes to explore what happens when these boundaries are overstepped or threatened, how do people react? Will they succumb to a crisis or survive and be stronger? Will they learn from their mistakes or fail?

In her two published novels, My Husband’s Sin and Don’t Call Me Mum, that tell The Lacey Taylor Story, explores much of the above. Both are published with Tirgearr Publishing, Ireland. The final part of the trilogy, Too Late Now, is patiently waiting in the queue to be finished. But she has promised her readers and all Lacey Taylor fans that she will not let them wait too long. To read more about the Taylor family head over to Letters from Lacey and discover insights to the family not shared in the books.

When she is not putting pen to paper, Mary loves to craft, especially crochet. Often her projects find their way to friends and family. She holds a CC in public speaking from the Toastmasters International Organisation and has been guest speaker at arts festivals/events, along with judging writing competitions. Her stories have been published in both Irish and international magazines and her plays have been performed and enjoyed rehearsed readings.

To connect with Mary, head to her contact page where you’ll find a message window for direct contact, alongside all her social links. But be warned, if you should ever meet her in person, she will hug you! Mary is an expert in hugging. Also chatting with people whom she’s never meet before and probably won’t bump into again.

Finally, Mary enjoys writing westerns, set in 1800’s America, and has two published novellas if you want a short read. Others will follow.

For those who like a bit of spice in their reading, why not check out her adult romance novella, strictly for the over eighteens, One Night in Barcelona.

Mary is available to attend or moderate on panel events, workshops, festivals, public speaking, and judging. Her writing CV is available on request.
